“Anyone ever told you that you look good in that color?” Dillon said.
I looked down at my peachy pink bikini, absorbing his compliment. “No, just you. But it is probably my favorite color. Reminds me of Mom’s roses and peaches and sunsets.” I smiled at him, searching his eyes for anything he wasn’t saying.
“You know what my favorite color is now?”
“Now? Like it changes every year?”
Dillon laughed and I wrapped my arms around his neck. “No, not every year. But I always just said it was blue, until I met you.”
I cleared my throat. “So what is it now?”
“Whatever color you call your eyes. Greenish blue? Deep turquoise? Wait, I know what else they remind me of, my favorite color crayon as a kid—Jungle green.”
I spit out a laugh. “Okay. That actually is the best crayon color.” I lifted up onto my toes and held his face in my hands. Then pressed my lips against his. “And you are the best boyfriend.”
