Sadie Hanson has spent the last year trying to hold herself and her family together after her mother’s brain aneurysm, trying to keep her anxiety in check, help her father with her brother, navigate high school friendships and situationships. When she meets Dillon Taylor, he makes everything feel lighter, but he carries his own past. Sadie discovers that the most beautiful things in life, like sea glass, are often formed from broken pieces. 

Sea Glass Girl is a YA Romance set in central California’s towns, creeks, orchards, lakes and beaches.  

“Anyone ever told you that you look good in that color?” Dillon said.

I looked down at my peachy pink bikini, absorbing his compliment. “No, just you. But it is probably my favorite color. Reminds me of Mom’s roses and peaches and sunsets.” I smiled at him, searching his eyes for anything he wasn’t saying.

“You know what my favorite color is now?” 

“Now? Like it changes every year?”

Dillon laughed and I wrapped my arms around his neck. “No, not every year. But I always just said it was blue, until I met you.” 

I cleared my throat. “So what is it now?”

“Whatever color you call your eyes. Greenish blue? Deep turquoise? Wait, I know what else they remind me of, my favorite color crayon as a kid—Jungle green.”

I spit out a laugh. “Okay. That actually is the best crayon color.” I lifted up onto my toes and held his face in my hands. Then pressed my lips against his. “And you are the best boyfriend.”
